Comics

0 min read
I've been drawing comics for most of my life.  The reason that I haven't posted any is because they are absolutely terrible.  I've improved a good deal, since my earliest comics had stick-figures...but even my more recent ones weren't good enough to show here. But I've been studying.  I've been reading comic books, reading books about comic books, drawing comics, and writing stories.  I think I'm finally ready to do a serious comic, and I'm going to start this weekend.  Seniors at my school are allowed to take a "Senior Project", where they miss school to pursue a creative endeavor or have an experience.  I've decided to make this comic book

Portfolio Day

0 min read
Last Sunday I went to National Portfolio day in Philadelphia.  I didn't really know what to expect, since no one besides my 12 year old brother and my teacher has really seen my work. I found you on /hyw/ - and I very much liked the comic.
Using traditional art (or is it?) is definitely a plus for me and it works quite well in this story, at least for me, despite a little rough linework and anatomy sometimes. But you wrote that you intend to improve, so that's okay. Designs and expressions are good and I also liked them, together with the story. It's interesting how you presented the whole story as a 'prologue'

And as a side note - if you plan to keep using DA for hosting your comics, try to put some links, at least [NEXT PAGE] in the description, it would make browsing much easier.

Good luck with the next comic!
Thank YOU for making great art that warrants the watch/fav/comment!
